We asked Martin Eckert to represent us in our house sale after interviewing him and two other agents. Dear Martin, When you rang my doorbell several years ago asking if I would be interested in selling my house, I was not yet ready to move. We are extremely grateful to Martin Eckert for all his help selling our house late last fall. We’re quite sure "the Martin advantage" is what made it possible to get our house ready for sale and sold in such a short space of time, that time of year. We'd met other agents before Martin and none were able to tell us whether our humble, older two-bedroom bungalow was more likely a tear-down or a property that would be lived in. We didn’t want to make pointless repairs that might be a waste of money. Martin was the only one with any confidence it would not be a tear-down. Martin reviewed all the repairs we thought we needed to make, and eliminated many of them as unnecessary for sale. For most that remained, he arranged tradesmen to do the work, at his expense. He met with us frequently during this process to discuss progress and offer advice - and to keep us moving and motivated, when necessary! He checked in often and was easily accessible. He also wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, literally, helping get planters together in the back yard. In the end he and his staff made our house look stunning. His recommendation on pricing was spot-on and even generated a small bidding war which saw us sell the house above asking in six days. At the time of sale we had a toddler and another due in a few months. Moving to a bigger house as soon as possible was crucial, and thanks to Martin we were able to sell our old house quickly and move on and up. He gave us and our modest property his full attention and energy and treated us with generosity, respect and honesty.
